Understanding Your License
When you purchase a product on DevWeb Themes, you are purchasing a license to use the software under specific conditions. We offer two straightforward licensing tiers designed to accommodate both individual developers and commercial enterprises.
1. The Regular License
The Regular License is designed for standard projects where the end user is not charged directly to access the platform.
What you CAN do:
- Install and use the software to create one single end product (e.g., one live website or one specific application).
- Activate the software on 1 production domain and up to 2 local/staging environments (e.g.,
localhost,staging.yourdomain.com). - Modify the source code and customize the design to fit your brand.
- Distribute the end product for free to your audience.
What you CANNOT do:
- You cannot charge end users a fee to access the core functionality of the software (e.g., you cannot run a paid SaaS business or subscription service using a Regular License).
- You cannot use the software across multiple, distinct client projects. Each client requires their own separate Regular License.
Includes: 6 months of prioritized author support and lifetime free version updates.
2. The Extended License
The Extended License is engineered for commercial deployment, agencies, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) operators.
What you CAN do:
- Create an end product where end users are charged for access (e.g., subscription platforms, premium gated communities, SaaS networks).
- Activate the software on up to 10 distinct production domains (perfect for agencies deploying the software for multiple clients).
- Whitelabel the software entirely and remove any DevWeb Themes branding.
What you CANNOT do:
- Even with an Extended License, you cannot resell the raw source code as a standalone product on other marketplaces.
Includes: 6 months of prioritized author support, lifetime free version updates, and expedited ticket routing.
License Verification Technology
Every purchase generates a cryptographic license key (formatted as DW-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Our software routinely pings our verification servers to ensure the domain it is installed on is authorized. You can freely detach and reassign domains at any time from your Customer Dashboard.
